Hydrology of Blessings

The Container, Bournemouth

Interdisciplinary installation. Jesmonite, fabrics, wood, found objects, video stills and AI generated graph photo transfers, oil and found objects on canvas.

Initiating this work with research at the Ganges River in Varanasi, I explored feminine water deities (particularly Goddess Ganga), intersections between ritualism and ecological research, and the resulting presence of my “female gaze” on empirical study. I’m interested in the contradictions and conflicts that arise between science, spirituality and art, and the complexity yet perhaps necessity of navigating them.
